OMG!

Last night we went out to eat with Jesse's Aunt Kathy and Uncle Mickey who are on vacation in Virginia Beach this week.  We branched out from the usual Texas Roadhouse and Chipotle to a local Mexican Restaurant called Plaza Azteca.  To start off, Jesse's Uncle ordered table side Guacamole where this guy comes to your table and makes the fresh guac exactly how you like it.  Jesse and I like our guacamole minus the avocados (aka SALSA) but in all fairness this was the best Guacamole we have ever tasted (and not in a "tallest midget" sort of way...).  Anyways, he was a nice guy, there for just a few minutes and was only able to see my chest/arms/face while I was seated (some of you may know where I am going with this...).  After a delicious meal and fun dinner catching up with family, I got up to hit the restroom.  I walked past the table side Guac Guy and he literally screamed out "OH MY GOD!" at my appearance!  I burst out laughing and said, "yeah I am a little bit pregnant huh?"  Now can any of you recall a person yelling out in horror "OH MY GOD" at your appearance??!  It was a unique experience that still has me crackin up the next day.  Here is a picture of me from that evening...the sad part is, I thought to myself earlier "looking good for 35 weeks!" hahaha.  Way to bring me back to reality Guac Guy...there is no denying my hugeness :)

Have you seen this commercial??

Are you crying yet?  What a great idea!  This commercial has inspired me to create a gmail account for our "little one"!
I know that the baby's name hasn't been chose yet, BUT here is his email address with wishful thinking that he will be born on an "odd" numbered day:

RyderJaxWilson@gmail.com

Feel free to write him emails, send him pictures, tell him your hopes and wishes for his life, how awesome his parents are-- Whatever you like!

Jesse and I will be sending him emails too :)

I hope that all of you get a chance to write him emails throughout his life! I know this will be very special for him one day.  Starting before he is born, the baby will be able to see how much his family loves him, and how excited we are for him to arrive!

"We couldn't remember anything from that night, remember?"

Memorial Day weekend in D.C. with the Cobras!

This weekend we drove up to Washington D.C. to visit with our good friends John (Woo Jeezy), Frank (Frank the Tank) along with Frank's wife Jennifer and their 9 month old baby Violet.  The guys were stationed in Hawaii with Jesse, and this is where we came up with our gang name: the Cobra's!  It is rare that we are within driving distance from some of our fellow Cobra's, and had to take advantage of the long weekend to meet up.

The weekend started off with us driving up to D.C. early on Saturday along with everyone else that thought it would be a great idea to head to our nation's capitol for Memorial Day.  As always, for a weekend visit we had enough food and supplies to last us a week.  This is one of my favorite things about Jesse--we are always prepared with enough food and water so that some of us who gets cranky without snacks (this might be me...) never reach their angry point.  Pup Face rode the whole way in her bed on top of the console sleeping.

We got to the hotel, unpacked, met up with Woo Jeezy (also known as lightening dragon) and his dog Zoe who was hiding inside a duffel bag to avoid the $75 pet fee.  A little fact about Pup Face--she LOVES Woo Jeezy and does not love the fact that he shows up with the "new girl" in his life, Zoe.  So when we try to have the dogs meet, Pup Face gets jealous and decides to fight for her man.  We had to distract the dogs with food so that Zoe would not get the full wrath of Pup Face and her extreme jealousy.

That night we went over to Frank and Jennifer's old stomping grounds and met up with Frank's family and friends from the neighborhood.  We had a wonderful evening catching up with old friends, and meeting new friends while stuffing our faces with deep dish pizza.  Frank and Jennifer also gave us some really great/useful baby gifts.  Since they are in the "newborn trenches" I consider them experts on all things baby and have solicited lots of advice from my baby sensei Jennifer.  The highlight gifts are a Swedish device to suck snot out of the baby's nose and a Magic Baby Bullet to create baby food.  For some reason it seems strange to including the name "baby" and "bullet" in a product title without having child services alerted...

Jennifer and Violet had picture plans on Sunday, so Jesse, John, Frank, and me went to do what anyone would do while visiting Washington D.C. for Memorial Day weekend: Laser Tag and The Hangover 2!
When we showed up at the Laser Tag place it looked like it was closed down.  No one was there and there were no cars in the parking lot except employees.  When we got inside, we learned that Frank, Jesse, and John would be playing against each other without any one else.  To be honest, this seems only fair.  Do you want Army Rangers taking down children in laser tag?  It be hilarious, and totally unfair.  Watching them play was so scary and fun I was almost screaming.  The theme songs from Batman and Superman were blasting over the speakers, and it felt like I was in a movie.  I am so glad that I decided not to play against them, or I would have just been in the fetal position in a corner, scared to move, or the sacrificial lamb that everyone would gang up against.  After laser killing was done, we played arcade games and won our puppies small beanie babies animals.  Pup Face loves her squirrel and acts like it is real...she has gutted it, and removed it's eyes, nose, and mouth in just a few hours.  Her dad has taught her well...

After Chipotle lunch, it was movie time.  The Hangover 2 was funny--not as good as the first one--but highly shocking and vulgar fun :)  It was good seeing a moving with our old friends, because we would do this almost  every Saturday in Hawaii.  Memories...(tear)

All in all, it was an excellent weekend, with good friends, fun activities, and delicious food.  I hope all of you enjoyed a nice long weekend, and thought about the armed forces and those who have sacrificed so much so that we can are able to have great weekends with our friends and loved ones.
